Automotive Body Repair
The Automotive Body Repair Program is designed to teach
students to repair damaged body and fender parts on
vehicles. The course includes the latest repair
technology, welding, shop safety, metal straightening,
fiberglass repair and damage estimating. Students will
obtain skills which include all phases of auto body repair.
This program consists of one AOT degree option and one short
certificate.

ALGA GATSON
is an Automotive Body instructor on the Birmingham Campus
of Lawson State--a position that he has held since 1999.
Prior to assuming this position, Mr. Gatson worked as an
automotive collision repair technician focusing on painting
and refinishing, nonstructural analysis, and damage repair.
He has successfully completed I-CAR training in the
fundamentals of collision repair, frontal impact analysis,
mechanical systems analysis and restraints, interior, glass,
side and rear impact analysis.

Darryl Rowe
is an Automotive Body instructor on the Birmingham Campus
of Lawson State--a position that he has held since 2006.
Prior to assuming this position, Mr. Rowe worked as an
automotive collision repair technician focusing on painting
and refinishing, nonstructural analysis, and damage repair.
In his previous position he supervised the painting
facilities at the Honda assembly plant in Lincoln, AL.
